Below are thumbnails of photos I took between 8am and 9am on 17 December 2010 using a pocket Nikon camera. You see fire in one window still active at that hour. I left work early and came by yet again only to see fire from the north side still very active.
I'm hoping to get real photos of this tragic event from real photographers in the future.
These pictures are released into the public domain. You may use them without any attribution for any purpose. I used a very low quality camera—all I had. I am also not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination. It was very cold, I was very emotional, and my hands shook in some pictures resulting in blurry images.
To the right, you see my general path around the tabernacle to take photos of the fire. Of course, it was mostly taped off by the police and fire people, so it wasn't possible to get very close.
After uploading these, I realized they are too big and have disabled them. If you want to see them full size, please contact me. When you click here, you'll get an intermediate-sized resolution fitting inside 1000×1000 pixels.
